I made a strawberry sauce all on my own tonight!!! No recipe or anything!
I was SO impressed with myself and wanna know what it tells me? My cooking abilities are improving. Oh it’s a slow progress, don’t get me wrong, but it’s happening…

I never took a picture of the sauce by itself to begin with because I just made it to layer my mylkshake (although in hindsight I probably should have).
I took one after the fact of the tiny bit I had leftover in its little baby plastic container ready to go into the fridge for the night. I know the color isn’t all that appealing, but it was really, really yummy.
The highlight of this meal was definitely the mylkshake. Thanks to CCK for her amazing recipe! I drink a lot of smoothies. A lot. I love smoothies, because they’re consistently amazing. Mylkshakes aren’t so simple though, at least as far as I’ve found. The ones I’ve tried have been tasty, sure. Very tasty, sure. But they’re been as thin as smoothies and that doesn’t really work with mylkshakes. This one… I would swear I was drinking an actual milkshake if I didn’t know better.
I wish I could make these posts scratch & sniff.
Oh well, you’ll have to settle for a photo…
Would you like to know how yummy this shake really was? Well, I burned my fries. Anyone who knows me knows that I never burn fries. They’re my favorite simple food made of my favorite vegetable in all of the vegetable kingdom. Period.
But when I should have been checking on them in the oven, I was savoring my shake.
My pizza had spinach, herbs de province, garlic powder, veggie pepperoni, and mozarella-style Daiya shreds on it. I kept it pretty simple, and that’s usually the way I like it.
I dipped my fries in leftover Chiptle Mayo from yesterday and then in ketchup because that stuff is just too spicy for me to handle. Actually I brought a bottle of it to work today for my coworkers to try out and everyone liked it — although it was too spicy for most everyone. Next time? Half the spiciness. I love the flavor but it really was too spicy to use for a dipping sauce. Live and learn…
I’m working on a new recipe plugin (I know, I know, why invent the wheel? Well, there are no recipe plugins for WordPress that can do anything near what I have planned. Just wait a couple weeks and you’ll see what I mean.
School has to come first though and I have two assignments due next week.) Anyway, I’m very interested in any feedback on how YOU like recipes to appear, if you care to share…
Now I’m off to dream land, so goodnight <3
